HIGH ADVENTURE

Every few years, Troop 67 does a high adventure campout.

Sea Base 2021

after a one-year delay due to COVID, the Troop sent 30 members (plus two additional scouts from other Troops) to Sea Base in August 2021. The group did the Out Island Adventure, and although the time on Munson Island was cut short due to a tropical storm, everyone had a fantastic time!

Philmont 2016

13 Troop members hiked 70+ miles over 10 days through the rugged New Mexico terrain in August 2016. Along the way, they worked on a railroad, shot black powder rifles, and scaled the 12,441-foot Baldy Mountain. Although it was very strenuous, it was an adventure no one will ever forget.

Other high adventure

Whenever possible, the Troop looks for a summer camp that offers high adventure options for older scouts (or sometimes plans their own!). Hiking, rafting and wilderness living are just some of the challenging activities that Troop 67 scouts have conquered over the years.
